Class D Amplifiers
We have experience with full-range 200W class D amplifiers for audio since 1991. In 2000 we started the project LPC1, a 1 kW Class D amplifier in which a high power efficiency is combined with a surprisingly good sound quality. The LPC1 will soon be taken in production by Amplimo.
LF and RF magnetic field generators
A deactivator for soft tags with a high power RF-generator, 1 kWatt at 7-10 MHz has been designed for Nedap.
Other applications of RF-generators for magnetic fields are in Wireless Energy Transfer and Inductive Detection Systems.
Wireless Energy
Some applications of wireless energy have been constructed:
- Wireless lamps
- Inductive Heating
- Power supply for medical Implants
- Charging batteries in hermetical sealed case
Other examples of power conversion:
DC-DC- convertersA High-efficiency Mains-powersupply for 1- 2kW, optimised for Class-D audio and without fans is in development. This PSU-module will be used for the LPC1.
(Most power-supplies have low efficiency, and are unpractical for audio for their weight, high idle-power or forced air-flow.)
